The Short Syntax by H. P. V. Nunn is a "reference" grammar for the Greek employed in the New Testament. It is a companion volume to his "student" grammar, Elements of New Testament Greek.

AN INTERJECTION is a word thrown into a sentence to express a feeling of the mind. (Latin interjicio, I throw in.) Examples: Hallo, ha. THE DEFINITE ARTICLE The and the INDEFINITE ARTICLE A are always joined with nouns like adjectives. As this book is intended for older students it has not been thought necessary to adopt the method of deriving the reason for the names of the different parts of speech from examples.
